Steve was born in Port Gibson and raised on the family farm. Today, he raises cattle on land that has been in the family for over 124 years. The love of God and family enhances this life. Honesty, a good work ethic, and the privileges of land ownership are valuable lessons he learned from this experience. He believes in being a good steward of the land and leaving it in better condition than when it was entrusted to him. He is co-owner and broker of LedgerPurvis Real Estate, LLC. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1980 with a degree in business. He is a member of the Realtor Land Institute and an Accredited Land Consultant. He is a member of the Hermanville Baptist Church. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Shanda, daughter and son-in-law, Blair and Justin, and two grandchildren, Molly and Walker, on the family farm.
